Matt Branyan

Matt Branyan, 29 of Jonesboro passed from this life July 17, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center.  He was born May 30, 1990 to Ronald Clyde Branyan and Heather Busby Branyan. Matt worked at Riceland Foods and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Matt loved fishing, firefighting and driving race cars.  He was a lifetime member of the VFW and Disabled Veterans.  Matt is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Branyan and grandfather, Larry Busby.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Branyan of the home; mother, Heather Bolden (Virgil); 2 stepsons, Chad Alan Flippo and Sean Nathaniel Glen Wise; brothers, Chadwick Branyan (Amanda) of Weiner, Patrick Branyan of Harrisburg, Justin Branyan and Zachery Branyan, both of Waldenburg; sisters, Veronica Easter (Clarence) of Harrisburg, Holly Dunham (Wesley) of Weiner, Lauren Branyan of Waldenburg.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 6-8 pm at the Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Service will be Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:00 am at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Danny Elrod speaking.

Pallbearers will be Chad Flippo, Nathan Wise, Chad Branyan, Patrick Branyan, Chris Busby and Brad McFarland, Richard Mosby and Clarence Easter.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Branyan, Zachery Branyan and the Philadelphia Fire Department.
