Marylee Josephine Sanders

Marylee Josephine Sanders, 85, Brookland, died Wednesday morning at NEA Medical Center. She had lived in Brookland most of her life and worked for several years as a cook for Brookland Public Schools. Ms. Sanders also worked for the State of Arkansas at the Arkansas Services Center. She was an avid quilter and loved to crochet.

Ms. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents, William & Belle Smith Mabry, her husband, Roger Sanders, a son, Patrick Sanders, and a sister, Charlsie Robinson.

She is survived by two sons, William Sanders of Jonesboro and Gary Sanders and his wife Donna of Nixa, Missouri. She also leaves six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Larry Ring officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Smith, Robert Robinson, William Robinson, Donna Ishmal, Rusty & Joy Sartin, Steve Bowles, Roy Bowles, and Bill Smith.

The family asks that no flowers be sent but consider a lasting memorial to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
