Mary Laverne Wood

Mary Laverne Wood, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed from this life to glory on February 10, 2021.   She was born July 2, 1933 in Glen Easton, West Virginia to Ray and Mary Harris.  Mary Wood was most beloved by family and friends.   She loved Jesus, the Bible and His Kingdom.  She cared for others and in her long life contributed to making life better for others.  She was dedicated to being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian.

Mary Wood was a faithful member of the County Line Church of Christ, Jonesboro, Arkansas. She loved the people of this church and they loved her.

Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Harlan C. Wood.   She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glen Harris.

Mary Wood is survived by her children: Ben Wood (Jo), Mary Beth Ashlock (Allen), Katherine Moore (John), and Matthew Wood (Susan).   In addition, she is survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a brother, Paul Harris, and a host of family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Funeral services shall be private.   We ask you to remember our beloved Mary L. Wood with love and grace.   Love the Lord and love each other and that shall be the greatest honor to her life.   She now lives with the beloved ones of the ages and above all our God.   We rejoice in her life and faith.
