Mary Alice Vinson

Mary Alice “Hendrix” Vinson passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at NEA Baptist Hospital at the age of 80. She was Born on August 4th, 1944 in Perryville, Mo. to John W. and Martha J. (Stacey) Hendrix.

She trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member at Strawfloor Baptist Church in Jonesboro and worked alongside her husband Rev. Jimmy Vinson for over 35 years serving churches in Missouri and Arkansas. She knew it was her calling and she loved serving her Lord.

She will be remembered by her children, three sons; Todd Wayne Vinson (Dana) Keiser, Arkansas, Tracy (Lori) Vinson, Jonesboro and Tony (Holly) Vinson, Summerfield, Louisiana.

Three daughters; Maria (Mark) Pierson, Melissa (Tommy) George and Martha Stocklin (Terry “Doc” Goodon) all of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and her 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mary Alice is also survived by her siblings; Brother, William “Bill” Hendrix. Sisters; Wanda Francis, Brenda Williford, Karol Clementz and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jimmy Vinson, her parents, three sisters; Etta Mae Herron, Kathy Hendrix, and Shirley Broeker and three brothers; Leroy Hendrix, Jerry Wayne Hendrix and John Hendrix.

Also preceding her in death; one granddaughter (Sarah) & a great granddaughter (Chandler).

Visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home, Jonesboro Arkansas Monday Evening, June 2, 2025 at 5:00 PM-7:00 followed by a Graveside Service on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, Crestlawn Cemetery, St. Genevieve, Missouri at 11:00 A.M.
