Mary Amy Turner, 100, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. A native of Jonesboro, she lived several years in Michigan with her husband raising their family. Mary Amy was a former member of First Baptist Church and later became a member of Magnolia Road Baptist Church.
She was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Jonesboro Country Club. Mary Amy shot her age at 85 years old. She also enjoyed playing bridge. Mary Amy was a PEO sister and a friend to everybody she met. She also loved traveling to visit her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Mary Amy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack J. Turner Jr.; son, Michael M. Turner; parents and 3 brothers.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Gail (Jerry) King, Carol Lee (Ronald) Anderson; son, Thomas J. (Ann) Turner; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren among numerous other family and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Emil Williams officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
