Mary Ruth Taylor

Mary Ruth Taylor, age 67, of Jonesboro, was born to the late Charlie Mack and Francis Louise Payne on August 1, 1954 in Midland, TX. Mary left this life and entered into her heavenly home while in a peaceful sleep at her home on January 14, 2022.

While all of us would say that the years weren’t long enough, no one would argue that the years she spent here she touched the hearts and lives of all those she came to know and the imprint she left will last us a lifetime.

Nothing brought Mary more joy than spending time with her family, friends, and church. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and most importantly a Christian.

Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years, Hank Taylor of Jonesboro; 3 children, Joe (Angie) Taylor of Harrisburg, Sue Ellen Taylor Bradbury of Jonesboro, and Josh (Jerri) Taylor of Brookland; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Diane) Payne of Steele, Missouri; and sister, Sue Taylor of Brookland.  She is also survived by a host of additional nieces, nephews, family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Mack and Francis Louise Payne, and sister, Barbara Hawkins.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00pm at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR.  Visitation preceding from 1:00pm-2:00pm . Josh Taylor and Reverend Rick Clark will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chuck Hawkins, Jerry Payne Jr., Greg Payne, Chris Taylor, Joseph Richmond, and Mark Lamberson. Mary will be laid to rest at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, AR.
