Mary Snyder

Mary Ellen Sims Snyder, 76, of Lake City, Arkansas, passed from this life Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born May 4, 1938, in Lake City to Henley and Ida Sims. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers; Jimmy Sims, Henley Sims, and Dewey Sims.

Survivors include her husband of almost 60 years, Charles Snyder of Lake City, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dewayne Snyder of Lake City and Scott and Karen Snyder of Jonesboro, seven grandchildren, Teryna Neff of Jonesboro, Edward Harbin of Jonesboro, Kelly, Keith, and Jeff Snyder, all of Cedar City, Utah, and Jaron and Marlee Snyder of Jonesboro, one sister, Artanes Eaton of Jonesboro, and three brothers, Perry Sims of Truman, Charlie Sims of Lake City, and Joe Sims of Searcy, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Andy Neal officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private.
