Mary Marvelene Rodgers

Mary Marvelene Rodgers, 75 of Bay, Arkansas died Friday, June 9, 2006 at NEA Medical Center. She was born in Bay and had lived her entire life in Bay. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Bay, a loving mother and a good friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Rodgers, her parents, Ina Lee and Stant Elrod; a son, Billy S. Rodgers and a twin brother, Marvin Elrod.

She is survived by

Danny & Martha Rodgers, Jonesboro, Arkansas

Marvelene is also survived by her brother, Dallas, and three sisters, Loyce, Joyce and Shirley.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 12, 2006 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Marvin Rickett officiating and burial to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Grandsons and nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Vernon Self, Larry Norwood, Allen Hancock, Quinton Fletcher, Jerry Rodgers, and Rosevelt Spencer.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 Sunday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
