Mary Alice Pruitt

Mary Alice Pruitt, 82 of Jonesboro passed from this life Friday at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born June 23, 1936 in Bradshaw, W. Virginia to Ernest and Blanche Jarrett Woody. Mary has lived in this area for 18 years, coming from Alabama and Michigan. She enjoyed her family, reading, quilting and doing crafts. She also had played the piano and played golf. Mary Alice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, James Oliver Pruitt, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Survivors include a son, Ken (Kathleen) Pruitt and a daughter, Sheila (Bill) Kidd, all of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Katie Pruitt, Mitchell Pruitt, Shannon Hamrick, Scott Skinner and Justin Kidd; great grandchildren, Ashton Hamrick, Eli Hamrick, Morgan Skinner and William Oliver Kidd.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Cornerstone United Methodist Church from 1-2 Pm. Service will start at 2 Pm with Kathleen McMurray officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Mitchell Pruitt, Justin Kidd, Scott Skinner and Marty Hamrick serving as pallbearers.
