Mary Lou Parham

Mary Lou Parham 77, of Jonesboro died Monday July 28, 2014 at ST. Bernard’s Medical Center. She was born in Elyria, Ohio on August 30, 1936 to the late Edward and Bertha Karkellie Fortman. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1958, moving here from Elyria, Ohio. Mary Lou was a retired optometric assistant for Harrell Eye Clinic and a member of Central Baptist Church where she enjoyed having fellowship with her Sunday School Class. Also Mary Lou was a loving wife, mother, loved to read and loved her grandchildren.

Survived by her husband Bobby (Bob) Parham of the home.

Son; David Parham and wife Melissa of Jonesboro.

Daughter; Amy Gibson and husband Shawn of Jonesboro

Grandchildren; Lindsey Parham, Jessica Parham, Tyler Parham and Ethan Gibson.

Great- grandchild; Andrew Gage Parham.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday July 30, 2014 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers will be Jay Scroggs, Al Smith, Eugene Hallett, Monty Young, Bart Young and Glen Parham.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Wednesday July 30, at Emerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorials be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital 800 Marshall St, Little Rock, AR 72202.
