Mary Maurine Lingenfelter, 72, of rural Jonesboro, died Thursday morning at her home of natural causes.
Born in Lake City, Mrs. Lingenfelter lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She worked 40 years as a hearing aid dispenser in Jonesboro. She was a member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed sketching and oil painting.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents: James H. and Sarah Opal Beaty Gatlin.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Lingenfelter of the home;
1 daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and Bill Coble of Russellville;
2 sons and daughters-in-law: Dwayne and Nancy Lingenfelter of Ravenden, and
Keith and Akuri Lingenfelter of Jonesboro;
2 sisters: Peggy Huffine of Duncanville, Texas, and Gail Karns of Brewster, New York;
3 brothers: James Gatlin of McGhee, Johnny Gatlin of Jonesboro, and Jimmy Gatlin of Obion, Tennessee;
7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Larry Merrell officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Billy Coble, III, Eric Coble, James Gatlin, Terry Lingenfelter,
Sonny Lingenfelter and Doyle Somers.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning, 9-10, prior to the service in the chapel.
