Mary Lynn Manry, 88, of Hudson, Florida passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, Florida. She was born on September 29, 1929 in Leland, Mississippi, to William and Mary Bartlett, but had lived most of her life in the Jonesboro, Arkansas area. Mary was of the Methodist faith. Mary graduated from Trumann High School and in her early years worked at Singer Sewing Machine Company. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was full of life and loved to volunteer having served as the local chair for Toys for Tots and volunteered with children with severe disabilities at the local school in Greenwood, Mississippi, and she instilled that sense of service in her children. Mary loved to play bridge and bingo and was an avid entertainer who loved to host her friends and family on holidays and special occasions. She was also a talented craftswoman and seamstress.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Floyd Manry, her parents, her sister, Juanita Smith, her brother, William Bartlett, and Thomas Lowrey, a son-in-law.
Survivors include her children, Phil Manry (Brenda) of Jonesboro; daughters, Karen Lowrey of Hudson, Florida; Heather Ziemba (Jerry) of Leland, North Carolina; sisters, Sarah Etheridge of Decatur, Alabama, and Imogene Green of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Brewer, Andrea Hicks, Matthew Ziemba; and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating Mary’s life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro and Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning until service time. Burial will be private.
