Mary D. Lackey, 72, of Jonesboro passed from this life on December 30, 2017 at Jonesboro HealthCare.

Mary D. King Lackey was born in Jonesboro on March 16, 1945 to the late Billy and Nettie Robinson King. She graduated from Bono High School, and later married the love of her life James “Jim” Lackey. They owned Vintage House Kitchens in Jonesboro. She loved entertaining and being with her family and friends ever opportunity she received. Her hobbies included music, baking, and taking pictures. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Lackey; sister and brother in law Retha and Brooks Lackey.

She is survived by one daughter, Angela Loughary and her husband Kevin of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Kara and MaKinley Loughary of Jonesboro; brother, James King and his wife Nettie of Newnan, Georgia; niece, Selena Bloodworth and her husband Chris of Jonesboro; nephew, Scott Lackey and his wife Michelle of Jackson, TN; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2pm on Tuesday in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rick Hathcoat officiating. Interment will be private at Unity Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
