Mary Jeanette Poynor

Mary Jeanette Cochran Poynor, 73, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at her home. She was raised in Bay, Arkansas, settling in Jonesboro and was of the Church of Christ belief. She was secretary for Northeast Arkansas Area Agency on Aging, and had also worked for SCAN. She lived her life for her grandchildren, baking, and was an avid Paula Deen enthusiast and a wonderful cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a great grandchild. She is survived by two sons, Ralph Edward Poynor and wife Paula Cris Poynor, Harrisburg; Hugh Bruffett Poynor, Trumann, Arkansas; daughters, Julia Ann Lawrence, Memphis Tennessee; Janis Ellen Foster and husband Eddie; Mary Jill Poynor, all of Jonesboro; one brother Gary Franklin Cochran, Trumann; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
