Mary Hattie Jarrett

Mary Hattie Jarrett, 81, of Jonesboro passed from this life of Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Smithville, Arkansas to the late Rudy and Wanita Franklin on October 6, 1935. Mary enjoyed helping people, gardening, flowers, and crocheting. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Earnesteen Jarrett; grandson, Bobby Hanley; brothers, Eulice Franklin and Devern Franklin; sisters, Shirley Franklin, Macie Jarrett, and Pauline Robinson.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Burr (Garry) and Susie Grandstaff (Steven); sisters, Ruth Griffey and Louise Smith; grandchildren, Phillip Hanley, Chad Burr, Anastacia Arndt, and David Hanley; and one great granddaughter, Madison Hanley. Mary also leaves behind her faithful companion, J.J.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Ricky Dillinger, Tony Gross, Howard Horton, Andrew Reeves, Danny Jarrett, and Steven Smith.

The visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday at Emerson Funeral Home. The honorary pallbearers will be David Hanley, Chad Burr, Phillip Hanley, and Michael Smith.
