Mary "Ellen" Horne

Mary “Ellen” Horne, 77, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Jonesboro to her late mother, Minnie Gilley Hall, on December 26, 1945. Ellen was a beautician and part owner operator of the family business, Union Glass, which has been in business since 1964. She was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and any sport or event her grandchildren were participating in. Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition her mother, Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Horne; brothers, J.C. Hall, Floyd Hall, and Jack Hall; and sisters, Christine Hoeft and Imigine James.

Ellen is survived by her son, Rodney Horne (Mary) of Jonesboro; daughter, Shelly Horne of Jonesboro; sister, Wilma Trammell; grandchildren, Natalie Baldwin Harris (Tanner), Morgan Spangler (Greg), Beau Horne, Daxton Webb, and Berkeley Horne; and great grandchildren, Isabella Spangler, Harper Cooper, Hudson Harris, and Harlyn Harris.

A graveside service will be held at Jonesboro Memorial park on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Randy Stimach officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
