Mary Helen Masterson, 78, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Saturday afternoon at home of natural causes.
Born in Manhattan, New York, Mrs. Masterson lived many years in Brooklyn, New York and Springfield, Massachusetts, before moving to Jonesboro in 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Jonesboro.
Mary was active in the Harlan Henry Senior Citizens Center and was preceded in death by her husband: John James Masterson, Jr.; by a son: John James Masterson, III; and by a brother: John Andrew Neail.
Survivors include:
1 daughter and son-in-law: Maryann and Steven Dapp of Jonesboro;
1 daughter-in-law: Linda Masterson of Clarksville, Tennessee;
1 sister: Mildred Maloney of Long Island, New York;
8 grandchildren,
7 great grandchildren,
8 nephews and nieces,
16 great nephews and nieces, and
1 great, great niece.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, April 18, 2007, at 11:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Steven Dapp, Jr., Steven Dapp, Jr., Allen Vanderford,
Forest Blain, Patrick Smith and Rodney Marselini.
Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:30 until service time at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
