Mary Sue Hansen, 91, passed away on September 5, 2025, at Sherwood Nursing Home and Rehab. She was born on November 18, 1933, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Gaylon Leonard and Florence A. Jones.
Mary spent most of her life in Jonesboro, though she lived in Pine Bluff for several years. She was of the Pentecostal faith and had a love for art. She enjoyed painting and treasured the time she spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two sons, Audie Byron and Gaylon David Hansen; and multiple brothers and sisters.
Mary is survived by her brother, William Leonard Jones; her nephew, Michael Shane Jones; and her great-niece, Allee Jones.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro with David Holley officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
