Mary Lenita Haas Birdsong

Mary Lenita Haas Birdsong 80, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her home. She was born August 17, 1939 in Jonesboro.

She lived most her life in Jonesboro. Mary retired from St. Bernard’s Medical Center after 40 years of service. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Juilus and Amy Pearl Rolland Haas; her husband Buel Birdsong, one daughter Bonnie, three brothers, Darell, Donald, and Paul Haas, six sisters, Shirley Miller, Trevera Dunlap, Myrta Ramsey and Narine, Estellen and Wanda Faye Haas

Survivors include two sons, Johnny (Patty) Birdsong of West Plains, MO; Jerry Lee Birdsong of Jonesboro; one daughter, Betty Lynne (Marty) Rodgers of Jonesboro; four grandsons, Johnathon (Hannah) Birdsong, Joey (Kobi) Birdsong, Ezra Rodgers, Issac Rodgers; two granddaughters Keashia (JD) Gutherie and Ammie (Terry) Brooks; great grandchildren, Shailie Gutherie, Dyslenn Gutherie, Mariah Birdsong, Charlee Brooks and Jaxon Birdsong; other survivors include her sisters, Cathlean Roemmick and Hazel Roemmick of St. Louis, Dorothy (Eddie) Perdue of Jonesboro and Julia (Vester) Johnson of Mount Sterling, MO.

There will be a memorial service at 2 pm Saturday at Spruce Street Church at 220 Spruce St, Jonesboro with Randy Page officiating.
