Mary Ellen Langston

Mary Ellen Langston, 66, of Jonesboro, died Friday morning, January 22, 2010, at her home of natural causes.

Born in Swifton, Mary lived much of her life in the Jonesboro area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and canning. She especially enjoyed auctions and yard sales. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Langston.

Survivors include a son, David Decker of Jonesboro, and an adopted son, Jim Moore of Cash;

2 daughters, Connie Decker and Ola Decker, both of Jonesboro;

1 brother, Paul Fitzwater, Jr. of Jonesboro;

4 sisters, Barbara Giglio and Phyllis Fitzwater, both of Jonesboro, and Patricia Sagley of Cash, and Lynn Payne of Maryland;

6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Eugene Bogard officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include Allen Stebbins, Layton Beaty, Cody Raines, Rick Raines, Heather Decker, Jim Moore, Coy Tarkington and Brian Decker.

Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon, 4-6, at Emerson Funeral Home.
