Mary Edith Muyres

Mary Edith Muyres, 87, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She has lived most of her life in Jonesboro and was of the Church of Christ belief. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Beno Muyres, of the home; two cousins, Marvin Higgins and Pat Stevens, both of Jonesboro.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with E. Winston Burton officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with pallbearers Marvin Higgins, Dan Elliott, Frank Springle, Ken Elliott and Johnnie Gambill. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Ben Owens Jr., and Dr. Harold Harrell.

Visitation will be from 2-4 on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Emerson Funeral Home.
