Mary E. Cunningham

Mary Elizabeth Cunningham, 85, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Memphis, Mary grew up in Memphis and moved to Jonesboro in 1950. She was the owner of Mary Cunningham Dance Studio in Jonesboro and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Jonesboro. Mary enjoyed oil painting, sewing, knitting, crocheting and spending time at their house on Lake Norfork. She also enjoyed traveling and was active in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for low income and under-served citizens.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Cunningham; parents: Louie and Lexie Bowling Bargiacchi, and by two brothers: Louis Bargiacchi, Jr. and Fred Bargiacchi.

Survivors include:
1 son, William Rogers "Bill" Cunningham, Jr. of New York, New York;
2 daughters: Rosemary (Jerry) Reiman of Jonesboro and Nancy (Pat) Hudson of The Woodlands, Texas;
4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held Friday morning at 11:00 at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Samy Madhichetty officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 614 S. Church St., Jonesboro, AR 72401, or St. Bernards Village, 400 East Street, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
