Mary Culbreath

Mary June Culbreath, 90, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, May 28, 2015. She was born in Rosedale, Indiana on November 30, 1924. Mary retired from General Electric and was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ. She played basketball for Lake City High School and still loved to watch sports later in life. Mary especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Logan Cohn and Leah Brady; husband Oliver Lee Culbreath; brother, J.D. Cohn; sister, Jean Click; and one grandson, Elliott Lee Culbreath.

Mary is survived by her sons, Don Culbreath (Kametria) of Nashville, Tennessee, Dale Culbreath of Jonesboro, and Paul Culbreath (Julie) of Jonesboro; sisters, Pearl Cohn Wallace of Clinton, Indiana and Mersa Smith Darr of Mountain Home; grandchildren, Paula Culbreath, Jeff Culbreath, Danielle Culbreath, Dorothy Younger, Richard Giddings, and Michael Giddings. Mary also leaves behind seven great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with active pallbearers being Nick Cox, Rick Cohn, Jeff Culbreath, Richard, Giddings, Jackson Culbreath, and John Barnett.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 at Emerson Funeral Home.
