Mary (Cookie) Elliott Seale, 78, of Jonesboro passed from this life on January 31, 2023 in Jonesboro Arkansas. She was born to John and Margaret Elliott on December 8, 1944, in Rock Springs, Wyoming.  She was raised in Rock Springs followed by Gadsden, Alabama where she graduated High School in 1962 and has resided in Northeast Arkansas since 1975. She attended Jacksonville State University and completed her education at Arkansas State University after raising her family.

Cookie began teaching at Walnut Ridge High School in 1990 and retired from Nettleton Public Schools in 2017.  She enjoyed teaching and loved her students dearly. In addition to her family and her career, Cookie’s passion was leading people to know Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Thomas Elliott and Margaret Stevenson Elliott Myska; her brother Lew Edward Elliott; and her daughter Brooke Seale Landrum.

Cookie is survived by her Husband of 56 years Robert (Bob) Seale of the home; four children: Jon and Amanda Seale of Fort Worth, TX, Spencer and Kim Seale of Lee’s Summit, MO, Meg and Ryan Jose of Hernando, MS, and Hannah and Saxon Berry of Bryant, AR and her son-in-law Jon Landrum of Jonesboro; 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and her sisters Ardith Elliott Dorrough and Margaret Myska Christiansen.

The visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Emerson Funeral Home.
