Mary Catherine Chipman

Mary Catherine Chipman, 82, of Jonesboro, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Mary was born in Craighead County and grew up here. In her early married life she moved with her family to Paragould and then to St. Louis where they lived before moving to the Jonesboro-Brookland area where she lived most of her life. She was retired from The Jonesboro Surgery Center where she worked as a Surgical Technician.

Mary enjoyed gardening, canning and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents: Garriel E. and Pauline Johnson Vaughn;  son, David Scott Chipman; husband, David Chipman; 3 sisters: Martha Beasley, Wilma Tosh and Dannie Vaughn; and 1 brother, Charles Vaughn.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Glenn Bridger of Jonesboro;

1 grandson and his wife, Kyle and Courtney Bridger of Jonesboro; and 1 great granddaughter, Allison Bridger.

All services and burial will be private. There will be no visitation.
