Mary Sue Beckham

Mary Sue Beckham, 96, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born November 13, 1919 in Maynard, Arkansas to the late Earl and Ella Maynard Richardson. Mary Sue taught school in Arkansas and Texas for 42 years. She inspired many young people to value their education.

In addition to her parents, Mary Sue was preceded in death by her husband, B.W. Beckham; one brother, Bill Richardson and two step children, Ann and Bobby Beckham.

Survivors include her brother, Don (Jo) Richardson of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; her sister, Louise Gallegly of Jonesboro and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Patty Soward officiating.
