Mary Lou Barker, 92, of Weiner, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Lakeside Nursing Home in Lake City, Arkansas. She was born on September 1, 1933 in Pennington, Arkansas to the late Wilmon Edwards and Hazel Garland Sanders.

Mary found joy in butterflies, hummingbirds, planting beautiful flowers and at one time crocheting. She was a retired caregiver. At the age of 65, she achieved her GED after previously completing the 7th grade.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Buddy” Barker, two daughters, Louise Wolfe and Sherrie Griggs; her sister, Darlene Raines; her brother, Junior (Maria) Edwards; and her son-in-law, Dennis Reid.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelia Reid, and son, Tim Barker both of Weiner; her sisters, Nancy (Paul) Pelletiere and Loretta Gilbert; son-in-law, Chuck Griggs; grandchildren, Kim Beal (Aaron Jones), Ashley (Todd) Dobson, Tara (Mike) Kinard and Mitchell Griggs; great-grandchildren, Lee (Jacquelynn) Beal, Jesse Kinard, Luke Kinard, Ella Dobson, Owen Dobson and Aubrey Kate Dobson; and two great-great grandchildren, Jonny Beal and Jorgie Beal.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Fisher Cemetery in Fisher, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be her grandson, Mitchell Griggs and great-grandsons, Lee Beal, Jesse Kinard, Luke Kinard and Owen Dobson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Kinard, Todd Dobson and Aaron Jones.
