Marvin D. Thomas

Marvin Thomas, 65 of Williford passed from this life Sunday, April 1, 2018 at St Bernards Medical Center.  He was born December 13, 1952 to William and Opal Thomas in St. Louis.  Marvin was a proud Marine veteran who served in the Vietnam war.  He was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher and deacon. Marvin enjoyed westerns, the St. Louis Cardinals, and loved his grandchildren and church family.

Marvin is preceded in death by his wife, Fredia, his father and step-father.  Survivors include his mother, Opal Sutterfield of Bay; son, Jacin (Susie) Thomas  of Bono; daughter, Angelia (Bobby) Metcalf of Bono; brothers, Eugene (Cheryl) Thomas of Truman and Fred (Paula) Thomas of Williford; sisters, Dolores (Brian) Sutterfield of Trumann and Doris (Fred ) Yeager of St. Charles, MO; 4 grandchildren, Amber, Anthony (Ariel), Haley and Madicin; 2 great grandchildren, Luke and Catalina.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Emerson Funeral Home with the service Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Emerson Memorial Chapel.    Jackie Pickett will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jacin Hammett, Mike Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Bobby Metcalf, Joey Sheets and David Bogan.
