Marvin “Marty” Tate, 54, of Brookland passed from this life Thursday, January 23, 2020 at South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola. He was born December 21, 1965 in Chicago, IL to the late Marvin and Judith Tate.

Marty was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Marieta of the home; sons, Mason Tate of Jonesboro and McCain Tate of Brookland; daughters, Meagan (Matt) Gillean of Jonesboro and Makena Tate of Brookland; brother, Bobby (Penny) Tate of Manila and two grandchildren, Nash Gillean and Pace Gillean both of Jonesboro.
