Marty Lafete Pettit

Marty L. Pettit, 59, a lifelong resident of Caraway died Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.  He was born on August 10, 1962, in Monette, to Dolphus and Shooe Pettit.  He was of the Baptist belief.  His favorite hobbies were all outdoors, he loved hunting and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Shooe Pettit; brothers, James Pettit and wife Nancy of Caraway; Ed Pettit; Roger Pettit and wife Pat all of Jonesboro; Floyd Pettit and wife Rhonda of Osceola; Loren Pettit and wife Michelle of Caraway; Wayde Pettit and wife Wendy of Harrisburg; sisters, Linda Wells of Lake City; and Jeanette Nichols and husband Ray of Cooter, Missouri.

Graveside services will 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Caraway Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are John Pendergraft Sr. and Ray Nichols.
