Martha Louise Stallings Brown

Martha Louise Stallings Brown, 80 of Jonesboro died Monday, July 2, 2018. Martha was born in Jonesboro on September 1, 1937.  As a child she attended Forest Home School and graduated from Jonesboro High in 1955.

Martha’s life focused on faith and family.  She was proud to be a charter member of Forest Home Church of the Nazarene where she served as a member of the choir, youth choir director, Sunday school teacher, and many other ministries.

She was totally devoted to her sons, grandsons and close friends.

She is survived by three sons: Sam Brown; Steve Brown of Jonesboro and Dr. Stan Brown of Atlanta.  Two grandsons: Brady Brown and Ben Brown of Jonesboro.  Brothers: Ernie (Bobbie) Stallings, Herb (Sharon) Stallings, and Sister: June Gibson all of Jonesboro.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Bernice Stallings.  Brothers: Neil Stallings, Harvey Stallings and sister: Delores Hendrix all of Jonesboro.

The Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Home Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Ken Stallings will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will precede the funeral at 10:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be her nieces: Kathy Buchanan, Brenda Higgins, Gaye Lana Parker, Stacy Stallings, Angie Stallings, Janet Stallings, and Kim Stallings.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Rita Edington, Lin Eagan, Peggy Waddell, Phyllis Olson, Juanita Hall, and Susan Crisp.
