Martha Elizabeth Williams

Martha Elizabeth Williams, 76, of Jonesboro, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday morning, June 16, 2007, at Craighead Nursing Center.

Born in Hayti, Missouri, Mrs. Williams lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Bono.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Williams; by a son: Freddie Joe Williams; by a daughter: Linda Gail Williams; by 2 brothers: Billy Gene Ramsey and Charles Ramsey, and by a sister: Ima Jean Ramsey.

Survivors include:

4 Sons and their wives: Bobby and Kathy Williams of Bono, Harold Williams, Jr. of Dexter, Missouri, Leslie and Helen Williams of Monette, and Jerry and Gina Williams of Neelyville, Missouri;

2 Daughters and son-in-law: Emmie and Johnny Pankey, and Zellah Williams, all of Jonesboro;

1 Sister: Louise Wilson of St. Petersburg, Florida;

15 Grandchildren, and 20 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Melvin Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Billy Copeland, Travis Anderson, Tony Williams, Robert Wilson, David Mares and J.C. Daniels.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
