James “Marlon” Cambron, 70, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born to the late William and Flora Cambron on February 6, 1947 in Lake City. Marlon loved his family and would do anything to help them. He enjoyed classic cars, playing guitar, and eating catfish. In addition to his parents, Marlon is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Cambron; grandson, Michael Lee Combs; great grandson, Layne Ryder Hice; three brothers and seven sisters.
Marlon is survived by his daughters, Wendy Warren (Jessie) of Jonesboro, Cendy Johnson (Tiny) of Brookland, and Mendy Thomas (Steve) of Monette; sons, David Cambron of Jonesboro, Cody Cambron of Jonesboro, and Dakota Cambron of Monette; sister, Lu Ann Johnson of Jonesboro. Marlon also leaves behind eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one on the way.
The visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday evening at Emerson Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Morris officiating. The burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with the active pallbearers being David Cambron, Cody Cambron, Jessie Warren, Derek Warren, Tiny Johnson, Steve Thomas, David Smith and Branden Combs. The honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Wheeler.
