Marlene Marie Turner
Passed away Dec 5, 2022, with family by her side.
Marlene was born February 10, 1935 to James David Butterworth and Frances (Voss) Butterworth in St Louis Mo. She is survived by her three children: David (Donna) Turner of St. Louis, MO, Cynthia (Jeff) Cole of Jonesboro, and Kevin (Lisa) Turner of Frisco, TX.
She had seven wonderful grandchildren that she adored, Austin (Kate) Turner of St. Peters, Mo, Casey Turner St. Charles, Mo, and Kayla Turner of Little Rock Ar., Anthony (Laura) Cole of Colorado Springs, Co. and Samantha (Alexander) Thomas of Austin, Tx, Nathan (Melissa) Turner of Fort Worth, Tx and Anna Turner of Prosper, Tx. She has also been blessed with three great grandchildren: Reagan Turner, Aiden Cole, and Alejandra Cole.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years James Alvin Turner, a son Richard Alvin Turner, and sisters Betty Schisler and Kathleen Wright.
Marlene was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She worked for Southwestern Bell for 32 years. She was a member of the Arkansas AT&T Pioneers and Blessed Sacrament Church's organizations. After retirement Marlene loved traveling with Alvin and friends. As well as volunteering with many local organizations, and most of all spoiling her grandchildren.
All services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wednesday December 7. Rosary will begin 8:30 am with visitation to follow until time the Mass service at 10 am. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and the Knights of Columbus as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to organizations of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
