Mark Frederick Downum

Mark Frederick Downum, 61, of Bono passed from this life on November, 25, 2022 at his home. He was born to Melvin Downum and Janet Ramsey Miller on February 23, 1961 in Glenview, Illinois. Mark received a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Illinois. He loved activities in the outdoors like going kayaking, outdoor drives, and running half marathons when he was younger. He was also an avid reader with a love of Earnest Hemmingway, having amassed an impressive Hemingway collection. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Brynne Schroeder (Mike) of Memphis; father, Melvin Downum (Jean) of Bono; mother, Janet Miller of Jonesboro; brother, James Downum (Robin) of Lake Zurich, Illinois; sisters, Shirley Adam of McHenry, Illinois, Sandra Tuite (Greg) of Orlando, Florida, and Sharon Shelton of Palatine, Illinois.
