Mark Anderson Carter

Mark Anderson Carter, 58, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Born on October 30, 1966, in Jonesboro to Linda Simpson, Mark was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Lewis and Marggie Carter.

A dedicated truck driver throughout his career, Mark found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a deep love for the outdoors, spending his time hunting, fishing, and kayaking. He also enjoyed good whiskey and the company of those he cherished.

Mark is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Kim Carter; his son, Christopher L.A. Carter of Jonesboro; mother, Linda Simpson (Harold); his brothers, Kenny Dhane and Chris Sloan; his sister, Catherine Ray; his sister-in-law, Shelley Johnston (Jamie) and his treasured grandchildren, Zachary Carter and Allison Carter.

In accordance with his wishes, all services will be private at this time.

Mark will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his unwavering work ethic, and the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed.
