Marjorie Lou Young

July 14, 1947 — April 25, 2021

Marjorie Lou Young, 73, of Jonesboro, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at her home.

Born in Mineral Springs, Marjorie lived in Grand Prairie, Texas, before moving to Jonesboro in 1995.  She was a homemaker and member of the Stokes Church of Christ.

Marjorie was an avid reader and absolutely loved having company in her home. She was a 100% people person who cared about everybody. Her life's goal was to extend Christ-like love and care for those in need. Marjorie spent countless hours daily simply contacting and checking on people by telephone. She loved giving and sharing all that she had. The Church was so special to her. Simply put, Marjorie's life was God and His Church, family and friends.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents: Jessie James Arnold and Neil Spigner Arnold.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jimmy Young of the home, married January 20, 1968; and one son and daughter-in-law: Alan and Kimberly Young of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 10:00-11:00 in Emerson Chapel.

Pallbearers include Keith Smith, Gary Bearden, Jerry Tibbs, Dustin Ulmer, Randy Iness and Tom Cudd.

In lieu of flowers, consider lasting memorials to Stokes Church of Christ, 8139 Hwy 115, Pocahontas, AR 72455.
