Marjorie “Margie” Louise Armstrong, 90, of Brookland, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. She has lived in Brookland for the past five years and the remainder of her life has been in Northeast Arkansas. She was a member of the Apt Community Church. Margie had worked as a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) until she was 74. Her hobby was reading. She had read her Bible through several times and read it daily. Having been the child of an Assembly of God preacher, she studied God’s word and was well versed on his passages. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerold Armstrong; parents, Lawrence and Mildred Foreman; four sons, Gary, Roger, Terry, and Barry; three brothers and one granddaughter, Britthney.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda Becker and Regina Kaut of Rogers; Deborah Hicks (Roy) of Brookland; Suzann Wilson and Veronica (Aaron) Dillehay of Jonesboro; daughter in law, Judie Armstrong, Huntsville, Alabama; brother, Gerald Foreman (Dolly) of Jonesboro; two people she claimed as children, Dale and Linda Davis; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 10, 2017 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jeff Weir and Dale Davis officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Ty Adams, Charlie Harris, Greg Eldridge, Andy Foreman, Ryen Foreman and Harrison Foreman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Joey Spinks, Jeremy Mattix, Caleb Naylor, Kevin Becker, James Kaut, Bryan Kaut, Clayton Wilson, and Chad Armstrong. Visitation will be from 3-5, Sunday afternoon at Emerson Funeral Home.
