Marjorie "Marg" Pruett

April 6, 1940 — January 14, 2012

Marjorie Nadine “Marg” Pruett, 71, of Walnut Ridge, died Saturday at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Fontaine, Marjorie lived most of her life in Walnut Ridge. She worked 18 years for Lawrence Garment Manufacturing before the factory relocated. Marjorie was a member of Free Worship Pentecostal Church in Sedgewick and was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Pruett, by her parents, Guy and Dora Davis Hancock, by a grandson, Mike Edward Willfond, and by a brother, Curtis Hancock.

Survivors include 1 son, Timothy Murphy (Tami) of Wood River, Illinois;

2 daughters, Geyvon Crest (Mark) of Corning, and Dorsie Shaw of Bentonville;

2 step sons: Gary Liles (Cheryl) of Lorado and Kelly Pruett (Vivian) of Hoxie;

2 step daughters: Jammie Houston (James) of Black Rock, and Janice Parsons of Paragould;

2 sisters: Mamie Schlobohm of Alton, Illinois, and Florene Ivie of Hoxie;

12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with David Moore and Danny Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Lorado Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Tony Becker, Gary Ellison, Mark Ellison, Rex Ellison, Matthew McQuay and Ernie Fultner.

Visitation will be held Monday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
