Marjorie Mae Fogle

Marjorie Fogle, 91, of Jonesboro, died Friday May 4, 2012 at her home.

She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and lived in Jonesboro for 49 years, moving here from Forrest City, Arkansas. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a homemaker and a teacher in the Forrest City Public Schools. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1938. She attended the University of Tulsa and Arkansas State University.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jonesboro. She was also a member of the Jonesboro DAR and The Saturday Night Dance Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, swimming, dancing and being with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna Mae York and Charles M.York; one brother, Charles R. York; and her husband, R. Wayne Fogle.

Survivors include one son, R. Mark Fogle of Jonesboro; one daughter, Diane Fogle Young and son-in-law, John H. Young of Jonesboro; and two grandsons, Brian J. Young of Carrollton, Texas and Alan D. Young of Arlington, Tennessee.

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Jonesboro with the Rev. Chris Jones officiating. The burial will be in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

The active pallbearers will be R. Mark Fogle, Brian J. Young, Alan D. Young, and John H. Young.

The honorary pallbearers are Hubert Brodell, Dr. John Sanford, Harry Hardwick and the members of the Tuesday and Thursday Afternoon Bridge Clubs.
