Marilyn Griffin

Marilyn Griffin, 73, of Jonesboro passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015.

Marilyn was born on September 25, 1941 to the late Herman and Janet Birchler Bielefeld. She was born and raised in Milwaukee and lived there until 1977, and in August of that year she moved her family to Jonesboro, and she later became a member of Christian Valley Church. She worked for Craighead County Library until her retirement. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and she loved to read. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Griffin; one daughter, Linda Mae Schneider.

She is survived by one son, Curtis Griffin; one daughter, Laura Tosh (Myron) all of Jonesboro; one brother, Eric Bielefeld (Sally) of Milwaukee, WI; one sister, Kris Lewandowski of Waukesha, WI; three grandchildren, Noah Schneider (Blythe) of Fayetteville, Levi Schneider, Gabe Schneider; son in law Andy Schneider all of Harrison; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Friday at 10:00am in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Mitch Ford officiating. Interment will follow at McDaniel Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. Pallbearers will be Myron Tosh, Carroll Caldwell, Steve Bracy, Joe Turney, Kenny Hendrix, and Marvin Hinton.

Visitation will be Thursday night from 5-7pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
