Marilyn Clem Fielder

December 30, 1936 — August 5, 2016

Marilyn Clem Fielder, 79, of Jonesboro went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, August 5, 2016 at her home. Marilyn was born in Trumann on December 30, 1936 to Thomas Clem and Cora Lee Jackson. She was a charter member of North Main Baptist Church and attended North Main for over 5 decades. She moved to Walnut Street Baptist Church and enjoyed the fellowship there with her Sunday School members.
She has resided in Jonesboro since coming here in 1954 from Trumann. She loved spending time with her family and especially the time she spent with her grandkids. She also enjoyed her Silver Sneakers (exercise class).

Marilyn spent over twenty years working for the Social Security Administration and then became a business owner and operator of Gymnastics Unlimited.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years: Carl Fielder; brothers: Robert Clem, Tommy Clem, Eugene Clem and Doyle Clem; sisters: Hazel Brantley, Olla Mae Summerfield, Frances Church, Doris Clem, and Ila Clem.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters: Sandra Fielder Holt (Danny) and Pamela Fielder Haun (Brian); Grandchildren: Ginger Baltz (Ely), Jessica Cox (Wynne), Elizabeth Fort( B.J.), David Holt, Gabriel Haun, and Amelia Haun; and great granddaughters: Haley Baltz, Rylie Baltz, Wynsley Cox. Westyn Cox, and Ellie Fort.

A visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016 at North Main Baptist Church with Gary Brown Officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery with active pallbearers being Ely Baltz, B.J. Fort, Dr. Danny Holt, Brian Haun, Joe Pierce, Eric Woods, and Brad Blake. Honorary pallbearers will include Wynne Cox, Max Dacus, Bill Dacus, James Fielder, David Holt, Jimmy Church, David Clem, Taylor Clem, and Jerry Brantley.
