Marilla Elline Gill, 89, of Jonesboro died Friday at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was a member of First Christian Church and was a Sunday School teacher for 47 years. In addition to church work, she loved her flowers and sewing.

She is survived by one daughter, Paula Nelms and husband David of Jonesboro; two brothers, Rev. Leon Wilson and wife Mary Jo and Dr. Gerald Wilson and wife, Jeanette; two grandchildren, Rick Davidson and Rebecca Davidson-Harrell; grand-daughter in law, Laura McQuay; eleven great-grandchildren, Will Davidson, Troy Davidson, Mallory Davidson, Cameron Davidson, Gabbi McQuay, Jade Johnson, Trey Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Jahren Wilson, Hayden Harrell, and Hilary Davidson; and two great-great-grandchildren, Thatcher Harrell and Bennett Durham .

She was preceded in death by her husband, William David Gill, Jr.; one grandson, Paul Davidson; parents Herbert and Pharetta Pauline Wilkerson Wilson; and two brothers, Herbert Wilson and Joe Wilson.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at First Christian Church with Jerry Wilcox and Leon Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hugh Herrington, Ron McCullars, Todd Harrell, Jordan Johnson, Trey Johnson, and Kenneth Pinchback.

Visitation will be Sunday evening 5-7 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home
