Marie Annette Stuebinger

Marie Annette Stuebinger (73) of Paragould, AR, formerly of Yorkville, IL, passed from this life on September 20th, 2019 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.

She was born on September 7th 1946 in Geneva, IL, daughter of Alfred & Helen Johnson. Marie attended Batavia High School, in Batavia IL. She married Dennis L Stuebinger on December 28th 1965. Together they had two sons; Russell A Stuebinger Sr, and Martin R Stuebinger. Before retiring in 2018, she worked for Aurora Bearing Company in Aurora, IL.

Marie’s love for all the people in her life was reflected in the kind acts, her unwavering attention, and her understanding heart. She was the rock, the sounding board, and the one full of advice. There will be an emptiness that now remains in all of our hearts that she is no longer here in person.

She is  preceded in death  by her parents; Alfred and Helen Johnson, her son; Russell Allen Stuebinger Sr; her three brothers: Martin Johnson, Gordon Long, & Stephen Stalker, as well as a several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Marie is survived by her husband and soulmate of almost 54 years; Dennis Stuebinger of Paragould, AR, her son; Martin (Melody) Stuebinger of Montgomery, IL, her grandson that she adored; Russell Stuebinger Jr of Paragould, AR, her sister; Loretta (Rod Howard) Fleshman of Paragould, AR, her brother; Jim (Terry) Johnson of Ottawa, IL, her many brother and sister in laws, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A private memorial service for friends and family will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2019 at the VFW in Montgomery, IL from 1pm-4pm. Emerson Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Center at Johns Hopkins.
