Marie Roedel

Marie Roedel, 90, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, October 02, 2010 at St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Center. She had lived most of her life in Jonesboro and was a charter member of the Needham Baptist Church. She loved gardening and sewing. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy “George” Roedel; son, Roy Roedel Jr., two grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include sons, Benny Roedel and wife Sarah; Robert “Bobby” Roedel and wife Kay of Jonesboro; Albert “Buddy” Roedel and wife Peggy of Bono, Arkansas; Richard Roedel and wife Sue of Jacksonville, Arkansas; daughter, Charlotte Wicker and husband Don of Jonesboro; daughter in law, Shirley Roedel of Jonesboro; brother, Harry Sharp of Arab Alabama; sisters Betsy Henderson of Brownwood, Texas; Katherine Wicker of Wink, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 28 great great grandchildren and 12 great great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Monday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Harold Ray and Danny Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Rob Roedel, Brian Roedel, Michael Roedel, Lynn Price, Ryan Russell, Daniel Russell, Bruce Roedel, and Darren Neal serving as pallbearers.
