Marie G. Couch

Marie G. Couch, 67, of Jonesboro, died Sunday at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Born in Trumann, Marie grew up in the Central community west of Trumann and moved to Jonesboro in 1958. She was a homemaker, a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and the Clinton Home Demonstration Club.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents: Ed and Nell Daly Gowen; by a sister: Sadie Gartman; and by 2 brothers: John and Buford Gowen.

Survivors include:
Her husband of 47 years: Bobby Joe Couch, Sr. of Jonesboro;

1 Son and daughter-in-law: Bobby Joe, Jr. and Angie Couch of Jonesboro;

3 Sisters: Eva Looper of Bono,
Sue Winningham of Harrisburg, and
Ora Novak of Jonesboro;

1 Brother: David Gowen of Jonesboro; and

2 Grandchildren: Zachary Couch and Shelby Couch.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Beth Waldrup officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Brad Beck, Jeff Tarpley, Marty Alexander, Wayne Winn,
Kevin Miller and Derrick Elrod.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
