Marie Dobbs-Kellems

Marie Dobbs-Kellems, 95, of Moore, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, September 27, 2019. She was born to the late Lewis and Bertha Guthrie on August 2, 1924 in Denmark, Arkansas. Marie accepted Christ at an early age and served Him her whole life. She always enjoyed working for the Lord, Marie served as a pianist, Sunday school teacher, bible school teacher, and sang in a quartet. Marie loved to crochet, spend time with her family, music by Jimmy Swaggart, and serve her Lord. In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husbands, George Dobbs, Coy Kellems, and Bill Thomas; grandson, Jeremy Fischer; and three sisters and five brothers.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Glenda Coy (Doyle) of Deltona, Florida, Lois Lanham of Moore, Oklahoma, and Donna Gandy of Jonesboro; brother, Johnie Guthrie; sister, Nell Spencer; precious friend and adopted daughter, Jane Walker. Marie also leaves behind eight grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and one recent great great grandchild.

The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening at Emerson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Rupard officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Danny Muir, Jay Parnell, Melvin Crenshaw, Brandon Foley, Mickey Yates, and Stefen Mayfield.
