Marguerite Elizabeth Rothgery, 90, of Jonesboro, departed this life on March 29, 2019, at the Craighead Nursing Center. Marge spent much of the last six years enjoying an active life and friends, at St. Bernard's VIllage in Jonesboro, before her health necessitated the care available at Craighead Nursing Center.
Marguerite was born October 24, 1928 in Elyria, OH, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Schneiter) Beckloff. She was the only daughter of the six children. Marge grew up in Ohio in the Elyria and North RIdgeville area, where she met and married Paul Anthony Rothgery on June 19, 1947 in North Ridgeville, OH. They were married for almost 66 years, before Paul's death in 2013. She and the family moved to Jonesboro in 1957 as part of the Colson Corp group that opened the new Jonesboro plant. Marge, Paul, and the children were members of that Colson Caster family for Paul's entire working career. They were always active members of Blessed Sacrament Church since arriving in Jonesboro, but especially in the early school years of their five children, and during the many years with just the two of them at home.
Marge is survived by sons, Larry Rothgery, and Rick Rothgery (Debbie) of Jonesboro; daughters Polly Stone (Rick) , of Bartlett, TN, and Teri Willingham (Howard), of Bethel Springs, TN. She is survived by one brother, Allan Beckloff, of Ohio.
