Margie Jayroe Kimmel Kemper

Margie Jayroe Kimmel Kemper, 64, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, October 6, 2019, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.  She was born in Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Jonesboro at a very young age.  She attended St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.  She worked in the family business, J. T. White Hardware and Lumber Company, for over 27 years.  She had a passion for collecting antiques and shopping. However, her love was her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Rhoda Smith, and brother-in-law, Rick Tubbs.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Kemper, of the home; daughter, Laurie Kimmel McDaniel (Zach) of Jonesboro; stepsons, Revis Kemper (Beth); Josh Kemper (Alissa) all of Trumann; stepdaughter, Jennifer Irvine (Rick) of Dallas, Texas; father, Jack Jayroe Jr.; brother Jack Jayroe III; sister, Ginny Tubbs all of Jonesboro; grandson, Kimmel McDaniel; Step Grandchildren, Haydon Roach, Chase Roach, Kaydence Kemper, and Noah Guy; one great grandchild; niece, Lindsey Wilcox; nephews, Brandon Tubbs, Justin Jayroe, Skyler Jayroe, J. T. Jayroe, and Joshua Jayroe.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October, 9, 2019 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Father Mike Sinkler officiating and Emerson Funeral in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with David Kimmel, David Kimmel Jr., Brandon Tubbs, Revis Kemper, Josh Kemper, Todd Wilcox, Jonathan McDaniel and Jordon Kennedy serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are the employees of J. T. White Hardware and Lumber Company.  Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time on Wednesday.
