Margie Lee Hendon

Margie Lee Hendon, 85, of Jonesboro passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg. She was born in Gatewood, Missouri to Floyce and Nema Reed on July 5, 1938.

Margie was a resident of Jonesboro for the majority of her life and was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She worked for Frolic Footwear until her retirement. Margie loved exploring flea markets and collecting all kinds of antiques. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. Margie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gary Hendon, 2 brothers, Neal and Donnie Ray Reed, and a son-in-law, Anthony Robinson.

Margie is survived by her two daughters, Teresa Robinson of Newport and Linda Fleming and husband Mark of Jonesboro; 2 brothers, Dwight Reed of Doniphan, Missouri and Larry Reed of New York City, New York; a sister, Wanda Rulo of Pompano Beach, Florida; 2 grandchildren, Eric Robinson and wife Kelli of Morrilton and John Robinson and wife Brittany of Jonesboro; 5 great-grandchildren, Cohen, Ty, Brooks, Bo, and Carter.

There will be a visitation at Emerson Funeral Home Friday, February 2, 2024 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM with a rosary to follow after. A graveside service will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery.
